How to edit an ongoing assignment in Tengai 4.0

In Tengai 4.0, you can edit an ongoing assignment. You can change more or less everything, even after the assignment has been published and candidates have been invited. The idea is that you shouldn't be locked into what was set at the start.

Open the assignment

  1. Go to Assignments and click Settings on the assignment.

  2. Click Edit assignment.

What you can edit

  • Under Language & Communication, you can add or remove interview languages, and change the primary language for candidate communication.

  • Under 2/3: Interview questions, click Interview questions. There you can add and remove questions, and change their order, that is, the flow of the interview.

  • You can change whether a question is a Requirement or not, in both directions.

  • You can change the answer type with the pencil, for example from Free text to Voice.

  • Click Save and go back when you're done with the questions.

  • You can turn Ask about availability on or off, even if it was included before.

  • You can change the Salary message with Edit, or remove it completely with Remove.

  • Under 3/3: Personality, you can reweight the personality profile.

Save your changes

  1. Click Preview assignment and check that everything is right.

  2. Click Publish assignment. The new version applies from now on.

What happens to the candidates?

  • Candidates who have already finished the interview keep their score. It's based on the template that applied when they took the interview.

  • New candidates, and those who haven't finished the interview, take the interview with the new template.

Edit with care

So candidates may have been interviewed with different versions of the template. Keep in mind what a change means when you compare candidates in the ranking.
